About the Speaker

Mr Mathias Demmel graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 1994. He worked as a design engineer in plant engineering (TC Consulting Olching) until 1996. In 1996 he started his career in testing at Prüfinstitut Türentechnik + Einbruchsicherheit, from the end of 2004 at PfB Prüfzentrum für Bauelemente. He has been one of the managing partners at PfB since May 2005.
Due to his training, his field of activity includes not only test centre management but also special tests such as pressure wave inhibition and the management of the in-house test equipment construction. He supports the testing areas of fall protection, fittings and burglar resistance.
As part of the co-operation with the The National Association of Security and Safety Technology, where he is a member of the advisory board, he is involved in the development of planning guidelines in the area of burglar resistance.
